19 January 2010ONAWA, Iowa -- Lillian Conyers, 72, of Onawa passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at her residence.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Lillian Mae Funkhouser was born Feb. 21, 1937, in Onawa, the daughter of Pete and Pearl (Huntley) Funkhouser. She attended Onawa Public School and was a lifelong resident of Onawa.
Lillian and Jack Dean Conyers were united in marriage on Feb. 27, 1959, at First Christian Church in Onawa. The couple made their home in Onawa and raised their two daughters, Diane and Debbie. She was a longtime employee of Burgess Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Conyers of Onawa; two daughters, Diane Conyers of Mitchellville, Iowa, and Debbie Conyers of Onawa; three grandchildren, Melissa Gaukel, Stephanie Blatchford and Samantha Knight; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Gaukel, Tanner and Landon Blatchford and Joslin Gaukel; and a sister, Mary King of Onawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and seven siblings, Peter "Jiggs" Funkhouser Jr., Betty Fowler, James, Marvin, Donald, Edward and Elliott Funkhouser.
