--DIED--

Philander Murray East at the home of her sister Mrs. J. W. McAdon, of China, Tex., aged 67 years and 15 days. The deceased is well known in and around Onawa being a brother of Mrs. Wallace Jones and of his living for a great many years near Onawa.

Mr. East came South with his sister Mrs. J. A. Norton this fall for his health but was here only a short time when he was called home.
He was a man of many noble qualities and had warm friends wherever he went. He was ready to die and anxious to go.

He left five sisters and one brother, Mrs. J. A. Norton, Mrs. J. W. McAdon, Mrs. W. W. Jones, all of China, Tex; Mrs. A. S. Hamilton, Lewistown, Ida; Mrs. C. E. Olmstead, San Diego, Cal; Geo. H. East, San Marcus, Tex. He was laid to rest in the China, Texas Cemetery.
