Mrs. James White Funeral Sunday
Services Held in Church of Christ With Burial In Mt Hope Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. James White, 66 year old resident of Mapleton, who passed away in an Onawa hospital, Friday, following a three month’s illness, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Church of Christ with Lee Henry officiating.

Interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery under the direction of the Byers Funeral Home.
Sarah Ellen O’Daniel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James O’Daniel, was born April 29, 1868, in Scotland County, Mo. She spent her early childhood days in Scotland County. Later she moved to the vicinity of Lafla, Mo. There she was married to James C White January 18, 1884. They made their home in Missouri until 1896 when they moved to Sioux City, residing there three years. Since that time they have made their home in and near Mapleton.

Mrs. White has been a member of the Christian Church since she was 17 years of age.

She is survived by her widower and four children, William, whose residence is unknown, Elmer White of Mapleton, Clyde White of Kansas City, Kansas and Hester Ferdig of Onawa. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Tom Ramjue of Republican City, Nebraska, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death.
