Mrs. Wayne (Delores) E. Beach, 59, Sergeant Bluff, died Wednesday, Feb. 14,1990 in a Sioux City hospital of a long illness.
Services were at 11 a.m. Friday at the Sergeant Bluff United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Marzolf officiating. Burial was in the Albaton, Iowa cemetery, under direction of Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.
Mrs. Beach, the former Delores E. Olson, was born April 6, 1930 at Albaton. She graduated from Whiting High School. She married Wayne Beach Jan. 19, 1952 in the Skein Lutheran Church at Albaton. The couple lived in the Akron area until 1955, when they returned to Sergeant Bluff. She was employed as deputy in the Monona County Treasurer ' s office and was later employed as assistant in the county assessor's office in Onawa. She then was employed at the Sioux City airbase for eight years before its closing, and as a secretary for several years for Needhani Packing Co., which later became Flavorland Foods.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dona and Danny Tighe, Debra and Vernon Ross and Sandra and Tim Holmberg, all of Sioux City; a sister, Mary Dunagan of Sergeant Bluff; a stepsister, Letha Scudder of Omaha, and six grandchildren, Michael Tighe, Jason Coil, James and Stacey Ross and Jennifer and Lindsay Holmberg, all of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mabel Olson.
