Soldier, Iowa—Mrs. Bennett Hanson, 90, of Soldier died Saturday at Whiting nursing home after a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Soldier Lutheran Church. The Rev. William Carter will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier.

Mrs. Hanson, the former Emma Halverson, was born April 15, 1887, in Soldier and was a long-time Soldier resident. She was married Feb. 24, 1909. Mr. Hanson died in 1962.

She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wilmer (Vivian) Sogn of Sioux City, four sons, Milfred of Soldier, Marion of Reno, Nev., Boyle of Marlooro, Mass and Forman of Dow City; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
