Mapleton, Iowa—Mrs. Frank Mitchell, 90, Mapleton, died Tuesday in a Mapleton nursing home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Church of Christ at Oto with the Rev. Homer Perry officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City under the direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Mapleton.

Mrs. Mitchell the former Carrie Jane Patterson was born Jan 27, 1888 at Boston, Mass and moved to the Anthon community with her parents. She married Mr. Mitchell March 23, 1910, in Sioux City. They farmed in the Correctionville, Washta and Kennebec areas. They moved to Oto in 1915 and farmed there until retiring in 1965 when they moved to Mapleton.

Mr. Mitchell died in 1969.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Mites Society, the Farm Women’s Club and the Church of Christ at Oto.

Survivors include a son, Roy of Oto; a daughter, Mrs. John (Irene) Christopherson of Danbury; five grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
