Clint W. Sisson, 92, Onawa, Iowa died Sunday, February 4, 2001 at Burgess Health Center.

Clint was born September 26, 1908 at Whiting, Iowa, the son of Wallace and Alta (Rush) Sisson.

He married Ruby Keele December 24, 1931 at Dakota City, Nebraska. The couple farmed near Mapleton 5 years and later near the Onawa and Blencoe areas until retiring to Onawa in 1993.

He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Blencoe and especially enjoyed dancing.

He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Otis Denney of Castana, Iowa and Sharon and Baynard Willey of Onawa, Iowa; four grandchildren and their spouses, Doug and Patricia Denney of Nashua, NH, Mike and Judy Denney of Schaller, Iowa, Greg and Rhonda Willey of Onawa, Iowa and Juli and Norm Stone of Sioux Falls, SD; eleven great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrva Everett of Omaha, Ne.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2001 at First Congregational United Church of Christ at Onawa with Pastor John Noer officiating. Music selections were “Amazing Grace” and “You Are Mine” sung by Chuck Stanley. Maurine Frisk was organist. Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery. Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Casket bearers were Greg Willey, Mike Willey, Norm Stone, Mike Denney, Doug Denney and Gayle Sisson.

Arrangements were under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.
