Brian C. Reed, 32, Whiting, Iowa, died Monday, February, 11, 2002 at his home.

Brian was born October 4, 1969 at Onawa, Iowa, the son of Richard “Hoot” and Bertha (Lalumendre) Reed. He attended school at Mapleton and later earned an Associate Degree in Automotive at Norfork Community College. He was married to Debra Carrier January 6, 1993 at Madison, Nebraska. Debra passed away November 26, 1999.

He was currently employed at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Onawa and MCI.

He was a member of Ticonic Methodist Church.

Survivors include his four children, Zoe, Alex, Cody and Jake all at home; his parents of Warrensburg, MO; a brother and his wife, Eugene and Clara of Warrensburg, MO; three sisters, Karen and Dale Harwood of Mesa, AZ, Nancy Eckert and her son, Chris Tiedtke of Norfork, Nebraska and Dorothy and her husband Mike Roach of Olathe, KA; his fiancé, Kathy Kelly of Whiting, Iowa and her children, Cody, Huntley and Daniel Young.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra.

Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2002 at St John’s United Methodist Church at Mapleton, Iowa with Pastor Robert Fritzmeier officiating. Special music was “Just As I Am” and “Peace In The Valley” with Terry Reed soloist and Verla Jones organist. Burial was in Kennebec Cemetery at Castana, Iowa. Visitation was 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with the family present 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Casket bearers were Mike Lalumendre, Larry Wannamakerm, Carl Lamb, Louis Reed, Sr. Louis Reed, Jr. and Robert Barker.
