Charles H. Dugdale was born August 30, 1905 in Onawa, Iowa and passed from this life in the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa on July 29, 1981. Death came at the age of 75 years.

He was united in marriage with Kate Cooper in Onawa on October 12, 1927. She preceded him in death August 5, 1972.

Mr. Dugdale served as Custodian in the Onawa School System for 27 years. He retired from this work in 1970. He was a lifetime resident of the Onawa area.

Early in life he accepted the Christ as his Savior and was united with the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Delores) Wyland of Lincoln, Illinois, a brother Howard Dugdale in Sacramento, California; and one grandson, Randy in Lincoln, Illinois, five nieces and one nephew and a number of other relatives and friends.

His parents, his wife Kate, one daughter, Judy, one son Ralph, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, 1981 at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. The organist was Mrs. Vince Phillips and the soloist, Mrs. Fred Gibson, sang, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Rock of Ages”.

Casket bearers were Ben Grandgenett, Larry Kreger, Derwin House, Otto West, Othal Hodges and Wayne Gries.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
