Mrs. F.A. Oldis well known and beloved Onawa mother passed away at her home at North Central Broadway Wednesday morning, January 26, 1938 after an illness of about ten days. She was born in England and came to this country many years ago she had attained the age of 81 years. For the past 18 years she has been a resident of Onawa. Her husband passed away a few years ago, she is survived by the following children, George Oldis of Jamestown, N.D.; Anna Lindsey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Mrs. Ray Petty od Arlington, S.D.; Mrs. Bryon Carroll of Sioux City and Arthur Oldis of Sioux City’ Tom Oldis of Hornick and Charles Oldis of Hornick. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Onawa on Friday afternoon at two o’clock with Rev. Stauffer preaching the funeral sermon. Burial will be made in Castana Cemetery.
