Margaret Arlene Lundin, 93, of Onawa passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Margaret Arlene was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Turin, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Minnie (Riley) Anderson.

Margaret and Albin Lundin were united in marriage on Dec. 18, 1937, in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived most of their life in the Onawa area. Albin passed away Feb. 20, 1969. After his death, she worked in housekeeping at Burgess Memorial Hospital for more than 14 years.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Onawa. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, watching her special television programs and compiling many scrapbooks with special event clippings.

Survivors include three children, Arlene Wilson and her husband, Richard of Sergeant Bluff, Mae Williams of Sergeant Bluff and David Lundin of Onawa; two grandchildren, Rick (Angie Fullen) Wilson and Melinda (Dave) Christensen; three great-grandchildren, Josh Christensen, Anthony "Tony" Christensen and Tanner Wilson; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leslie (Marge) Anderson of Salix, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Ruth Anderson of San Antonio, Texas; a niece, Rosie Sandberg of Crooks, S.D.; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Brad Williams; a son-in-law, Clarence Williams; and a brother, Charles Anderson

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday July 16, 2009 at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Todd Owen and Dean Williams officiating.Music selection were duets “The Old Rugged Cross”, “One Day At A Time” and “In the Garden” provided by Nancy and Cathy Hanson, vocalists. Patsy Petersen was organist. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m.Wednesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Jeff Sanders, Willard Dahl, Bernard Farber, Rick Wilson, Denny Sanderson, Luke Dellwo and Tanner Wilson.

Honorary bearers were Josh Christensen and Tony Christensen
