SIOUX CITY -- Don F. LeClair, 74, of Sioux City died Monday, May 4, 2009, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa, with the Rev. Don Collison officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Army. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Donald was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Sioux City, the son of William and Lucille (Holbrook) LeClair. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.

He and Mary Sue Koch were united in marriage in June 1960. He was a mechanic for Salsness Buick. He was later employed as an insurance agent for American Family Insurance.

He enjoyed bingo, golf, bowling television and watching reruns of old movies.

Survivors include his children, Paul LeClair and his wife, Tammy of Onawa, Teresa and her husband, Mark Gwennap of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Donald M. LeClair and his special friend, Mary Hoffman of Mapleton, Iowa, Anthony A. LeClair and his special friend, Sara Winsel of Pisgah, Iowa, Christopher J. LeClair and his wife, Sally of Stover, Mo., and Vincent G. LeClair and his wife, Sahara of Soldier, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William and Lawrence P. LeClair, both of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucy; and his siblings, Emma Barclay, Luella Fiscus, Doris Jorgenson, Corky Peterson and Albert LeClair.
