Blanche E Taylor, 99, of Elmwood Care Center,
Onawa, died Monday, April 10, 1995 at Burgess
Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

Mrs. Taylor was born Oct 14,1895, in Maple
Landing, the daughter of Charles H and Mary Alice
(Ashley) Allen. She was a lifelong Onawa resident.
She married Loyd E Taylor May 17, 1913, at the
Christian Church in Onawa. Loyd died Oct 30,1963.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Wyland of Lincoln, IL, and Joyce and her husband, Robert
Cogdil of Onawa; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grand
children, and 38 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Clyde,
Earl, and Howard Taylor; and five daughters, Marie
Johnson,Esther Knoff,Ruth Rasmussen,Betty Taylor,
and Maxine Taylor. Burial at Onawa Cemetery.

Blanche E. Taylor, 99, of Elmwood Care Centre, Onawa, Iowa died Monday, April 10, 1995, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

She was born October 14, 1895 at Maple Landing, Iowa, the daughter of Charles H. and Mary Alice (Ashley) Allen. She was a lifelong Onawa resident. She married Loyd E. Taylor May 17, 1913 in the Christian Church in Onawa. Mr. Taylor died October 30, 1963, in Onawa.

Survivors include her two daughters, Ruby Wyland of Lincoln, Illinois and Joyce and her husband, Robert Cogdill of Onawa, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Ross.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons, Clyde, Earl and Howard; and five daughters, Marie Johnson, Esther Knoff, Ruth Rasmussen, Betty Taylor and Maxine Taylor.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 14, 1995, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel, Onawa, Iowa with Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. The organist was Mrs. Vince Phillips and the soloist, Mr. Steven Johnson, sang “How Great Thou Art” and “The Old Rugged Cross”.

Casket bearers were Pete Wright, Tom Wyland, Bill Turkelson, John Turkelson, Robert Cogdill and Loyd Cogdill.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
