ONAWA, Iowa -- Naomi J. Reynolds, 71, of Onawa died Friday, April 26, 2002, at Burgess Health Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Mike Cahill officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Naomi was born Sept. 24, 1930, in Little Sioux, Iowa, the daughter of Bernard and Wilma (Pearson) Harper. She and her family moved to Onawa in 1938, and she graduated from Onawa High School in 1948.

She married Dick Reynolds on March 23, 1949, in Onawa, where the couple made their home. Along with being a farm wife, she was employed at the ASC Office and the couple also developed and operated the KOA Kampgrounds in Onawa. They looked forward to wintering in Texas.

She was a member of First Christian Church and was past president of the Women's Council. She also was a member of Queen Esther Chapter OES and was Mother Advisor of Rainbow.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Debbie and her husband, Lowell Phelps of Gordon, Neb., Janet Shatswell of Onawa, and Sandy and her husband, David Robinson of Castle Rock, Colo.; a daughter-in-law, Jolene of Onawa; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her father of Onawa; and a sister and her husband, Marilyn and Roger Hocking of Oceanside, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her mother; a son, Rick; and a son-in-law, Cole B. Shatswell Jr.
