MOORHEAD, Iowa -- Nadine M. Thompson, 78, of Gilroy, Calif., formerly of Moorhead, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in San Jose, Calif.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy.

Mrs. Thompson was a native of Moorhead. She loved to travel in her RV, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her true passion. She celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary in 2001.

Survivors include her husband, Leo Thompson of Gilroy; her children and their spouses, Larry and Susan Thompson of Sumner, Wash., Gary and Nancy Thompson of Gilroy, Randy and Donna Thompson of Pioneer, Calif., and Kristy and Terry Pitts of Sonora, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Roma Gaetke of Oconomowoc, Wis., Eleanor and her husband, Paul Anderson of Round Rock, Texas, Bernice Moore of Larsen, Wis., Betty Bell of Omaha, and Martha Williams of Oconomowoc, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Marge Nielsen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Moorhead Rescue Unit, Moorhead, Iowa.
