Rose E Taylor was born September 26, 1887, at Blencoe, Iowa and passed from this life in the Onawa Hospital on July 16, 1959. Death came at the age of 71 years.

Mrs Taylor was a life long resident of this community.

She was united in marriage with Roy Taylor on December 11, 1907 at Blencoe. To this union three daughters were born. One daughter, June and her husband preceded her in death.

Early in life she accepted the Christ as her Saviour and was united with the Congregational Church in Blencoe.

Survivors are her two daughters, Mrs. Walter Bedford of Blencoe, and Miss Lucille Taylor of Glenwood, Iowa; there are two sisters, Mrs. Will Templeton of Onawa, Iowa and Mrs. Jennie Hinsdale of Bellflower, Calif. And one brother, Orville Chapman of Onawa, also one grandson and one great-great granddaughter.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 18th, at 2 p.m. at the Congregational church in Blencoe. Rev. C. E. Hanan and Rev Everett Epperson conducted the service. Mrs. Dick Cartmell and Mrs. Gordon Rock sang “Going Down the Valley” aznd “Good Night and Good Morning”, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Gene Carlson. Casket bearers were Carl Erickson, Leslie McElwain, Bruce Purchase, Earl Hopkins, Mike Marley and William Framke. Interment was in the Blencoe cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home.
