Toni C Shea was born May 14, 1969, the daughter of Lois Jean and John Shea. She died Sunday, May 10, 2009, at her home in Corydon, Iowa, at the age of thirty-nine.

Toni was born in Davenport, Iowa, and received her education in the Carroll Community Schools.

After graduation from high school she attended college for a short time. On June 26, 1993, Toni was united in marriage to Kevin Messeck at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ute, Iowa. The couple made their home on a farm near Ute.

She was a very giving and loving mother. She enjoyed watching her children grow, spending time with them and was looking forward to being a grandmother. She loved watching her son play basketball and baseball, she was very proud of them. Toni also enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. When she was unable to visit in person she would talk to them on the phone daily. She was and animal lover and rescuer of animals and loved spending time with her cats. In her leisure time she enjoyed collecting gems, knick-knacks, other treasurers, was an avid collector of decorative eggs and enjoyed traveling with her special friend Mike.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Kevin; one son, Jeremiah and her Aunt Mary Jane Hayward. Survivors include her special friend, Mike; one daughter, Tia and special friend Zeb; one son, Cody, all of Corydon; two step-sons, Adam Meseck of Battle Creek; Luke Meseck and his financee, Diane of DesMoines; two brothers, Doug Albaugh og Greenfield, Indiana, Gary Albaugh and his wife Jenny of Boone; three sisters, Kim Jensen and her husband Bruce of DesMoines; Stephanie Sledge and her husband Randy, of Maryville, Mo; and Heather Albaugh and husband Matt Cornelison of Fontanelle; her grandparents, Francis and Mary Leeper of DesMoines; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at 2:00, Friday, May 15, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Corydon, Iowa.

Rev John D Boatman officiated the service. Music selection was “Holes In The Floor Of Heaven”. The family invited everyone in attendance at the service to join them in fellowship and lunch. The Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon was in charge of arrangements.
