Dorothy Wilson, 90, Onawa, Iowa died September 19, 2000 at Elmwood Care Centre, Onawa, Iowa.

Dorothy was born November 15, 1909 in rural Blencoe, Iowa, the daughter of John N and Bertha (Fey) Hansen. She attended school in Blencoe and Onawa.

She was married to Frank Larsen February 25, 1928 in Dakota City, Ne. They farmed in the Castana area and moved to Pasadena, Ca in 1937. Frank died August, 1954 in Pasadena. She married Harry Wilson of Castana November 4, 1955 in California. The couple made their home in Ontario, Ca until his death August 1980 in Ontario. She returned to Onawa in October 1980.

She was a member of Evangelical Free Church, Onawa. She loved flowers and helping others however she could including delivering meals on wheels.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Johnson, Onawa; six grandchildren, James Hopkins, Belleville, Tx, Mary Parr, Mitchell, SD, Vicki Mitchell, Edmonds, Wa, Janis Mason, Cottage Grove, MN, Lori Henneke, Katy, Tx and Birdie Norby, Durant, Ia; 16 great grandchildren; 15 great great granchildren; two sisters, Marion and her husband Marvin McCall, Castana and Elizabeth Riley, Storm Lake, Ia and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, a son James; a son-in-law, Donald Johnson; three brothers, LeRoy, John and Andrew and three sisters, Viola Hansen, Leona Wilson and Bertha Taylor Knuckles.

Funeral Services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2000 at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa with Pastor David Montecuollo, Evangelical Free Church, Onawa officiating. Patty Gibson sang "Victory In Jesus" and "One Day At A Time". Alice Masers was oprganist. Burial was in Center Cemetery, Castana, Iowa. A visitation was Thursday 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family present 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Walter McCall, Richard Wilson, Chadd Parr, Rick Wilson, Michael McCall and Paul Parr.
