ONAWA, Iowa -- Glen Pittman, 90, of Onawa died Saturday, March 23, 2002, at Onawa Nursing Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Sloan, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Pittman was born March 16, 1912, in Hornick, Iowa, the son of Lafe and Amy (Lines) Pittman. He attended and graduated from Owego, Iowa, schools.

He married Ruby Shupe. He was a lifelong farmer and farmed in the Sloan and Grand Meadow area before retiring to Onawa.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Onawa.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Carlie Pittman of Sioux City; a daughter, Glenda Koenig; and three grandchildren, David, Diane and Annette.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, Gladys Bettin, Opal McRae, Bernice Lamb, Addie Pittman and Aurelia Holverson.
