WHITING, Iowa -- Lynne L. Nagel, 55, of Whiting died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting following a lengthy illness with multiple sclerosis.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Ute, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Lynne was born June 4, 1946, in Hebbing, Minn., the daughter of David M. and Dorothy (Near) Cappan. She graduated from Lakewood High School in Washington and attended the University of Oregon. She was a CPA for Pioneer Business Forms in Tacoma, Wash.

Lynne married Robert "Bob" W. Nagel on Jan. 7, 1970, in Harbor View, Wash.

She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars Club and Noncommissioned Officers Wives Club.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Nagel Sr. of Onawa; a daughter and her husband, Davlyne and Dave Daly of Lakewood, Wash.; a brother, David M. Cappan Jr. of Onawa; a stepson and his wife, Robert W. Nagel Jr. and Robin of Ava, Mo.; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Lynn and Owen Richards of Tacoma, and Debra and Kenneth Whedbee of Ava; and several grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Lee, Garland Barnett, Larry Hintz, Jeff Gross, Bruce Boucher and Robert W. Nagel Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Moore, Richard Strong and Tom Wilson.
