Wes was the son of Louis and Etta (Kessler) Seieroe. He first attended rural school number 7 and in 1944, moved with his family to Ute. He was united in marriage to Ruth Marie Knutzen on September 14, 1950 at Ute. Two children were born to this union.

Wes and Ruth first farmed with his mother. In 1954, they moved to a farm near Soldier and to a farm south of Ute in 1956. They purchased their farm in 1965 and moved there in 1966, a farm which had belonged to Ruth's great grandfather. Wes was not only a crop farmer, but also raised hogs and cattle. He truly loved his life's work in agriculture. They stayed on the farm until 2007 when they moved to their home in Ute.

Wes and Ruth loved to travel together, having been to Hawaii, Texas, Florida, California, Tennessee, Las Vegas and on a Caribbean Cruise. The greatest adventure he had, however, was his multiple trips to Alaska and the fish he caught while in the state.

He was a member of St.Paul's Lutheran Church in Ute.

Survivors include Ruth, his wife of 58 years, one son, Rick Seieroe and one daughter, Carolyn Seieroe, all of Ute, two brothers and their wives, Leonard and Pat Seieroe of Ute and Thomas and Judy Seieroe of Sac City; and one sister, Charlotte Behmer of Des Moines, Iowa; along with other relatives and good friends.
