GLEN H. WHITING
DIES IN LeMARS
Father of Mrs. Carl Marcue

Glen H. Whiting, of Hisega, South Dakota, who has been visiting in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl Marcue, died Saturday morning at the Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars, where he was taken Thursday after suffering a heart attack while visiting his sons in Monona County.

If Mr. Whiting had lived until next month, he would have been 78 years of age, having been born at Whiting shortly after his parents moved to that community from Boone, Iowa. He lived in Monona county until twelve years ago when he located in the Black Hills about 12 miles from Rapid City.

Mr. Whiting’s health had not been good and three weeks ago he came to LeMars to consult physicians who advised him he had a bad heart. He was feeling well enough to go to Monona county to visit his sons last week, but suffered another attack Thursday and was brought to LeMars Friday in an ambulance.

Mr. Whiting is survived by his wife at Hisega, South Dakota, one daughter, Mrs. Carl Marcue of LeMars, and two sons, Park Whiting of Sloan and M.J. Whiting of Whiting, Iowa.

Funeral services were held in Whiting, Iowa, Monday afternoon and were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Marcue of LeMars and Marine and Mrs. Bruce Marcue of Grosse Isle, Mich.
