Moorhead, Iowa—Mrs. Soren “Sam” Sorensen, 76, of Moorhead died Tuesday in a hospital at Onawa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bethesda Lutheran Church at Moorhead. The Rev Luther Flugstead will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home at Onawa.

Mrs. Sorensen, the former Ethel C Torgerson, was born July 11, 1904 at Soldier.

She was married Feb 22, 1925 at rural Moorhead. She was a lifelong resident of Soldier and Moorhead areas. Mr. Sorensen died 11 Jan, 1978.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and the ALCW.

Survivors include one son, Ronald of Omaha; four daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Leone) Johnson of Moorhead, Mrs. Ernest (Eleanor) Ross of Hinsdale, Ill, Mrs. Clayton (Dorothy) Swensen of Soldier and Mrs. Wayne (Joanne) Fletcher of Chariton; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alvin of Onawa.
