William Harrison Whitmore, 74, Blencoe, Iowa, died August 4, 1986 at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

He was born May 18, 1912, at Omaha, Nebraska, to Fred and Grace W (Russell) Whitmore. He was a resident of Beatrice, Nebr. State Home for more than 50 years before moving to Omaha. He had been a resident of Blencoe for the last four years.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational in Blencoe.

Survivors include two brothers, Lewis and Thomas, both of Blencoe, one sister, Helen of Blencoe and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Walter and one sister, Fern.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 1986 at the United Church of Christ Congregational at Blencoe with Pastor Donald Stoll officiating. Mrs Robert Collison, Jr, the organist, accompanied Mrs Fred Gibson in the selection, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden".

Bearers were Robert Collison, Jr, Tony Phillips, Ron Cutler, Charles Hitchmasn, II, Irvin Frisk and Marvin Keele.

Interment was in Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa
