Blencoe, Iowa--Mrs John D Comfort, 78, of Blencoe, died November 19, at an Onawa hospital of a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. November 22 in the United Church of Christ Congregational at Blencoe. The Rev William Bessmer will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home at Onawa.

Mrs Comfort the former Lillian Harris, was born Nov 8, 1897, at Atlantic. She was married July 31, 1918 in Onawa. He died July 7, 1972 at Onawa.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ Congregational and various women's organization.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Jack (Reva) Anderson of Sioux City and Mrs Robert (Maxine) Nielsen of Blencoe; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Mildred Wyma of Sioux City and Mrs Maurice Hime of Des Moines.
