Sept. 24, 1925-Feb. 26, 2005

Graveside funeral services will be held for Clifford J. Riddle on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clair Cemetery at Ute, Iowa with military honors by the VFW Post 5605 of Ute.

Clifford J. Riddle was born on September 24, 1925 in Ute, Iowa and lived in the area until he graduated from High School. He joined the U.S. Army and served his country for 20 years.

After retiring from the Army he settled in Elberta, Alabama and drove truck delivering camping trailers all across the United States. After retiring from truck driving, he was a volunteer at the Baldwin County Heritage Museum in Elberta, Alabama.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Fred A. Riddle and Florence Ethel (Schensig) Riddle.

Survivors include his friend of many years, Margaret Utterback of Elberta, Alabama; three sisters, Maxine Nystrom of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Joyce Dethlefs of Sioux City, and Shirley Hopp of Charter Oak and several nieces and nephews.

Clifford died February 26,2005. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service was held March 4, 2005 in Foley, Alabama and a cherry tree was planted at the Museum in his memory.

The Armstrong Funeral Home of Ute is in charge of the arrangements.
