Mary Lou Knapp, age 72, of Chiloquin, Oregon, died January 3, 2006 of natural causes in Klamath Falls.

Graveside services will be Monday, July 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clair Cemetery in Ute. Armstrong Funeral Home of Ute is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Knapp was born September 25, 1933 in Onawa, Iowa, to Alfred and Helen Marie (Hower) Butcher.

She lived in Onawa until moving when she was 17 years old when she married Allen Parrish in the 1950's and moved to Sioux City, Iowa. She later moved to the Los Angeles area, where she married her second husband, Harold Knapp on April 12, 1980 in Rowland Heights, California. In 1990 she moved to Chiloquin.

Mrs. Knapp was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed making porcelain dolls, sewing, cooking and doing crafts. She collected miniature frog figurines.

She was a member of Chiloquin Christian Center.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Parrish of Utah, Dennis and Ida Parrish of Sprague River and Tim and Susie Parrish of Chiloquin; stepdaughters, Charlene Whatley of California and Kathy Knapp of New Mexico; grandchildren, Theresa, Danny, Greg, Katie, Keith, Nicole, Crystal, Steven, Bobby Lee, Angel and Wendy; great-grandchildren Riley, Kristopher, Rachel, Destry, Bryce, Haley, Allyn, Nathaniel, Samuel, Gregory and Cammie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Lola Butcher of Tucson, Arizona and Darrel and Ellen Butcher of Roy, Utah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tootie and Lyle Collison of Onawa and Phyllis and Jerry Moore of Moorhead, Iowa; sister-in-law, Tseing Butcher of Baldwin Park, California; nieces and nephews, Bruce, Glenna, Susie, Michael, Christy, Mary, LeAnn, De De, Ann, Nancy, Scott, Butch, Bonnie, Robyn, Pam and Brian; and numerous other family members and friends.

She also leaves special friends, Ruby, Nancy, Slim, Judy, Happy, Mary, Betty and Gladys.

She was preceded in death by her second husband; brothers, Poncho, Marvin and Walter Butcher; nephew Michael Butcher; stepson, Butch Knapp; and son-in-law, Bobby Whatley.
