Mrs Mable C Tuttle, 58, a life time resident of Onawa died Friday, December 7, 1956, at the Onawa hospital following an illness of several months, Mrs Mable (C) Hegwood Tuttle was born in Onawa, Iowa on January 13, 1898. She was married to Roy Tuttle of Onawa at Sioux City, Iowa on February 2, 1924.

Mrs Tuttle, before her health began to fail, was active in Lodge and church work. She was a long time member of the Elise Rebekah Lodge of Onawa. She was a charter Member of L.A.P.M. and a past matriarch of L.E.A., both of which are Rebekah organizations. She also was a member of the Royal Cliverleaf chapter of the Royal Neighbors at Blencoe, Iowa, a charter member of the Woman's Relief Corp and a member of the First Christian Church of Onawa.

Survivors beside the widower, Roy, include nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 11, 1956 at 2 p.m. at the First Chriatian Church with Rev Everett Epperson officiating.
A trio Mrs Helen Cato, Mrs Dorothy Ferris and Mrs Margaret Gray sang, accompanied by Mrs Nancy Linden. Honorary bearers were Edna Messewnbrink, Nina Koontz, Effie Bergstrom, Lucille Sheesley, Marjorie Collison, Leola Cooper, Effie English, Hulda Higgins, Laura Sigler and Florence Brown. Active bearers were Frank Koontz, Barney Messenbrink, Walter Bergstrom, Otto West, John Tvson and Wilbert McJunkin. The Elise Rebekah Lodge and Womans Relief Corps attended in a group and the Rebekah Lodge had charge of the graveside services at the Onawa Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home.
