WHITING, Iowa -- Albert "Bus" Gregerson, 88, of Whiting, formerly of South Sioux City, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whiting Christian Church with Minister Rusty Hedger officiating. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery, Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Albert was born Aug. 18, 1917, at Missouri Valley, Iowa, the son of John and Martha M. (Larson) Gregerson. He was raised and attended school at Missouri Valley. He married Edith Esther Whitehorn on Sept. 22, 1937.

Survivors include his wife, Edith; two daughters and their husbands, Arlene and Tom Distefano of Phoenix, Ariz., and Connie and Dennis Kirchmann of Cloverdale, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Patti, Terri, Kelli, Rhonda, Renee, Rebecca, Roxanne, Regina, Julie Ann and Daniel; 12 great-grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Willard, Brittney, Tori, Colton, Dillon, Danielle, Alex, Anthony, David and Steven; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janet; two sons, Richard and James; and two brothers, Edward and Arthur.

Memorials may be directed to Whiting Christian Church for the Bible College Scholarship Fund.
