Earl J Knutson, a resident of Portland, Ore, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital at Portland on September 20, 1976. He had reached the age of 80 years, 7 months and 34 days. (printed as in paper)

Earl was born January 16, 1896 at Sioux City, Iowa. He served his country during World War I in the U.S. Navy being honorably discharged on April 23, 1919.

Before retirement he was self employed in the Life Insurance business.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel of Portland, Ore., one son, Earl J, also of Portland, Ore., three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held September 24,1976 at 11 a.m. at the Soldier Lutheran Church Cemetery, Soldier, Iowa with Pastor Timothy Wiggins officiating. Arrangements were by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
