Miss Juliette Severson, age 87, a long time resident of Soldier and Dunlap, Iowa, passed away on May 14, 1978 at Elmwood Nursing Home in Onawa, Iowa following a lengthy illness. She was resided at Elmwood the past five years.

She was born on March 17, 1891 in Soldier and was the daughter of Julius and Bertha Nelson Severson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Soldier Lutheran church and held membership in the Dunlap Lutheran church during her residence in Dunlap from 1938 to 1968. She moved to Onawa in 1968.

Survivors include her brother, Guy Severson of Onawa; two sisters, Mrs Hazel Ibbotson of Benson, Minnesota and Mrs Walter (Edna) Klopping of Hemet, California and a sister-in-law, Mrs Grace Severson, of Soldier. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Walter, Earl and Roy.

Services were Wednesday, May 17, 1978 at 1 p.m. at the Soldier Lutheran Church, Soldier, Iowa with Pastor William G Carter officiating.
The organist, Mrs Harry Apderson played the selection, "Softly and Tenderly".

Bearers were Ray Severson, James Severson, Douglas Severson, Milton Amunson, Matt Severson and Lowell Amunson. Interment took place in the Old Soldier Lutheran Cemetery, Soldier, Iowa with Arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Soldier, Iowa.
