MOORHEAD, Iowa -- Arladine Irene "Deanie" (Hunter) DeLoss, 70, of Fargo, N.D., formerly of Moorhead, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mayflower Congregational Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. RayAnn Cummings officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo.

Mrs. DeLoss was born March 21, 1933, the daughter of Marty Lucy and Joe C. Hunter, in Moorhead. She was baptized at Moorhead Christian Church. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1951.
She married Jerry E. DeLoss on April 30, 1960, in Sioux City. She retired from AT&T after more than 34 years of service.

She was a member of El Zagal Mobile Noblettes and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She cherished family and her several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; their son, Curt and 17-year-old granddaughter, Heather, of Keller, Texas; their son and his wife, Gerald "Jud" and Joanne and 18-month-old grandson, Dunford "Ford" of Charleston, S.C.; their son, Jeffrey of Fargo; her several brothers and sisters, Twila Rustin of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Barbara Twiford of Utica, Mont., Harold Hunter and his wife, Lisse of Oceanside, Calif., Dillon Hunter and his wife, Pat of Ute, Iowa, Frank Hunter of Los Angeles, Calif., Lillian and her husband, Gordon Carritt of Ute, Iowa, and Lois and her husband, Ed Nagel of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ken Twiford; and a sister, Reva Olsen.
