Mrs. Guy Severson of Moorhead, 76, passed away at the Onawa hospital Saturday, March 4 after a short illness. She had suffered a shoulder injury several days back and then last week suffered a severe stroke from which she never regained consciousness.

Funeral services were held from the Soldier Lutheran Church Tuesday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Arnold Mathisen officiating. Magnus Jepson was soloist and sang "Jesus, The Very Thought of Thee" and "More Love To Thee." Mrs. Magnus Jepson was at the organ.

Interment was in Soldier Valley Cemetery at Soldier under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier. Bearers were Greighton Millard, James Severson, Leo Hull, Marrold Millard, Kenneth Burtler and Earl Rustin.

The former Mida Rose Millard was born May 13, 1896 at Dunlap, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Guy Severson at Soldier, and has been a lifetime resident of the Dunlap, Moorhead and Soldier communities.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Soldier.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Ronald of LeMars and Raymond of Moorhead; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Butler and Mrs. Minnie Olson, both of Onawa, and Mrs. Lester (Lillian) Neilson of Dallas, Texas; and eleven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn and Russell.

Mrs. Mida Rose Severson, Moorhead, Iowa, passed away Saturday, March 4, 1972 at the Burgess Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She had reached the age of 75 years, 9 months and 21 days.

She was born at Dunlap, Iowa on May 13, 1896, the daughter of Stephen and Lena Summerfield Millard and had spent her entire lifetime in the Dunlap, Soldier and Moorhead communities. She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church.
On Sept. 10, 1919, she wsa united in marriage to Guy Severson at Soldier, Iowa and to this union four sons were born.

Survivors are the husband, Guy of Moorhead; two sons, Ronald and wife, Joan of LeMars, Iowa; Raymond and wife Patricia of Moorhead and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Glendora Severson, Loveland, Colo; 11 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ruby Butler, Onawa; Mrs. Lester (Lillian) Neilson, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Minnie Olson, Onawa.

Preceding her in death were two sons, Glenn and Russell and three brothers, Douglas, WIll and Edmond.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 1972 at the Lutheran Church in Soldier, Iowa with Pastor Arnold Mathisen officiating. Magnus Jepson sang, "Jesus The Very Thought of Thee," and "More Love To Thee," accompanied by Mrs. Jepson. Bearers were Creighton Millard, Marrold Millard, James Severson, Kenneth Butler, Leo Hull and Earl Rustin. Interment was in the Lutheran Church cemetery, Soldier, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier.
