Berthine Rosella Hilton, daughter of Knudt and Live Olson Larson was born July 4, 1886 at Soldier, Iowa and passed away at the Plattsmouth Manor in PLattsmouth, Nebraska, on December 29, 1971 at the age of 85 years, 5 months and 25 days.
She was a lifetime member of the Soldier Valley Lutheran Church and was Confirmed in 1899. Her early life was lived in the Soldier and Onawa communities where she attended school.
In 1908 Berthine was united in marriage to John Theodore Hilton and to this union one son, Kermit Charles was born.
Mrs. Hilton moved to Bellevue, Nebraska 6 years ago and lived alone and enjoyed good health until about a year ago.
Mrs. Hilton was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother and ten brothers and sisters.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son, Kermit C. Hilton of Bellevue, Nebraska, one granddaughter, Mrs. Leo (Kermine Ann) Bender of Minneapolis, MInn, two grandsons, Robert Charles Hilton of Atlanta, Ga and Franklin John Hilton of Bellevue, Nebraska.
Graveside services were held Friday, December 31 at the Onawa Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Gunderson officiating. Arrangements were in charge of the Rash Funeral Home, Hamburg, Iowa.
