Floyd Taylor, 91, of Sioux City fell asleep in death on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 3713 Green Ave., Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com .

Floyd was born March 10, 1916, in Mapleton, Iowa, to Joseph and Annie (Bartels) Taylor.
He married Carol McCall on April 27, 1940, in Onawa, Iowa. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1943. He was employed with Cudahay Packing Plant. He later worked for Jensen and Krage Construction until he went to work for the city of Sioux City. He retired from the city at the age of 66.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Carol; four daughters, Sandra and Art Fritz, Deanna and Bob Morgan and Kristina and Dan Callender, all of Sioux City and Sheila and Stephen Bell of Ute, Iowa; two sons, Michael of Sioux City and Steven and Jackie of Eagon, Minn.; and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two daughters, Linda and Glenda.
