ONAWA, Iowa -- Margie P. Orr, 94, of Onawa died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, at Harvest Morningside Nursing and Rehab Center in Sioux City, where she had been a resident for three years.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today in Onawa Cemetery, with the Rev. Dan Doran officiating. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Margie was born Sept. 18, 1907, in Homer, Neb., the daughter of Harry H. and Clara E. (Clinkenbeard) Pounds. She attended school in the Homer area and was employed as a cook in several area restaurants and also in the Long Beach, Calif., area.

She was married to James E. Orr on May 5, 1979, at Orange Chapel in Long Beach. They lived in the Long Beach area until returning to Onawa in the late 1980s.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Diller of Sioux City; two stepchildren, Farrell Orr and Susie Simmons, both of Onawa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; and three brothers, Red, Troy and Bill Pounds.
