ONAWA, Iowa -- Mary Ann Rogers, 73, of Onawa died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Frank Nemmers officiating. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Ann was born Aug.17, 1928, the daughter of Ross and Mabel (Cole) Johnson Sr. She spent her entire life in Onawa, where she graduated from Onawa High School in 1947.

She was married to Howard E. Rogers on Feb. 2, 1948. She was a nurses aid at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa for many years before becoming a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Howard; three sons, Larry and Robert, both of Onawa, and David of Sioux City; two daughters, Deb and her husband, Brett Ewing, and Regina Rogers, all of Onawa; grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Robert and Bradly Rogers, Angela, Kevin and his wife, Julie Ewing; two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Savannah; and four brothers, Marian Maxwell of Long Beach, Calif., Ross Jr. and his wife, Linda Johnson of Onawa, Bill Johnson of Onawa and Pete and his wife, Pat Johnson of Sergeant Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
