ONAWA, Iowa - Gale Robert Priestley, 72, of Onawa died Saturday, May 5, 2001.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. in Tilden City Cemetery in Tilden, Neb. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Rush Family Chapel.

Mr. Priestley was born Oct. 9, 1928, in Stanton County, Neb., the son of Otis and Marie Priestly. He was raised and educated in Antelope County near Tilden. He married Virginia Verzani on April 22, 1972, in Yankton, S.D. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. After his retirement, he was custodian for the Norfolk School System.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and their husbands, Jo and Don Collison of Onawa, JoAnn and Dan Moss of Overland Park, Kan., and Rhonda and Steve Burbridge of Ute, Iowa; five grandchildren, Jeri Hendershot, Chuck Collison, JoDen Napper, Tammy Braunsroth and Dani Moss; six great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Dee and Duane Wolske; a sister-in-law and her husband, Donalda and Gary McCuddin; nine nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, LeRoy and Charles.
