Onawa, Iowa- Mabel Leone Mann, 94, of Onawa died Friday, March 21, 2003, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Steven Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery in Moorhead, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Mabel was born Aug. 30,1908,in Soldier,Iowa, the daughter of Mathew and Laura (Hanson) Mathison. She attended Mathison School.

She married Lynn C. "Ted" Mann on May 7, 1927, in Moorhead. Ted was employed by the Iowa State Commission for 13 years out of Mapleton, Iowa. In 1941, they began farming in the Soldier area, and in 1950 moved to Pisgah and continued to farm there until they retired to Onawa in 1973. Mabel enjoyed gardening, caring for her house plants, playing cards and all of her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn L. Dugdale of Bellvue, Colo.; a son, Russell E. Mann and his wife, Sharon of Fort Collins, colo; four grandchildren, Kathryn Dugdale Steinbock and her husband, Bryan of Bellvue, Eric Dugdale and his wife, Anna of Fremont, Calif., Marcia Mann Burkhart and her husband, Donald, and Gretchen Mann Erickson, all of Lakewood, Colo.; a great granddaughter, Ashley Steinbock of Bellvue; a sister, Nadine Hartigan of Ute, Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Lorna Pounds, Wanda Glasser and her husband, Daryl, all of Onawa, and Ruby McCord Mathison of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Kenneth, Conrad, Harold and Howard Mathison; and two sisters, Madeline Christensen and Bertha Mann.
