Onawa, Iowa--Dolores B. Jenkins, 78, of Onawa died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Steven Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service today at the funeral home.

Dolores was born June 10, 1924, in Sioux City, the daughter of Carl and Lillian (Britt) Easton. She was raised and attended schools in Sioux City.

She was united in marriage on May 9, 1943, to Gilbert Jenkins in Vancouver, Wash. The couple made their home on a farm nine miles northwest of Onawa. Gilbert passed away July 27, 1990, in Sioux City. She had recently entered Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa and the Willing Worker's Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Barb and her husband, Russ Kepner of Onawa, and Mary McCoy of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Dwight and Helen of Hornick, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Kevin McCoy of Sioux City, Jason McCoy of Denver, Colo., Jen and her husband, Scott Cooper of Olathe, Kan., Eric Jenkins, Jennifer Meyer and Mark Kepner all of Sioux City, and Michael and Matthew Kepner of Onawa; a brother, Howard Easton of Milwaukie, Ore; two sisters, Joanne Underwood of California, and Lorraine Serface of Campbell, Calif; nieces, nephews and a host of friends; and a special little boy, Jeremiah, who called her Grandma Dodie.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Galen Kimmel; and infant son, Danny; a son-in-law, Richard McCoy; a sister, Bette Woolsey; two brothers, Earl and George Easton; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
