Woodbury Co., IowaMoorhead, Iowa—Pearl L. Woodward, 86, of Moorhead died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunlap, Iowa.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moorhead Christian Church, with the Rev. Ron Keith and Pastor Carla Johnsen officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.
PedersPearl was born August 10, 1921, at Moorhead, Iowa, the daughter of Chris M. and Agnes (Neilson) Pedersen. She was raised in the Moorhead area and graduated from Moorhead High School in the class of 1938.
Pearl and Dorrance Woodward were united in marriage on April 5, 1941, at Onawa. They made their home and raised their children in the Moorhead area. She was a waitress at cafes in Moorhead and Soldier, Iowa, the Moorhead Sale Barn and also was a Headstart bus driver. Dorrance died on March 14, 1994.
She was a member of Moorhead Christian Church and was a very loving, loyal and devoted mother and grand-mother to her children and grandchildren. She will always be remembered for the keen sense of humor.
Survivors include her four children, Carolyn Patterson of Scottdale, Ariz., Marcia and her husband, Phil Watters of Des Moines, Robert and his wife, Mary Woodward of Woodward, Iowa and Bonnie Blume and her special friend, Gale Oliver of Soldier; five grandchildren, Steve Blume, Scott Woodward, Marcia Kay Henry, Angela Watters and Wade Watters; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Dorrance, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Arnold Pederen; a granddaughter, Michelle Watters and two sons-in-law, Jerry Blume and Robert Patterson.
