Death Summons Young Farmer
Albert Larson, 49, Passed Away At His
Home East Of Onawa Sunday Morning,
December 10, 1939

His Illness had Extended Over a Period of Three Years—
Leaves Widow and Two Children- Funeral Held Tuesday

In the death of Albert A. Larson, which occurred at about eight o’clock last Sunday morning, this community suffers the loss of one of its well known and well liked young farmers.

Mr. Larson had lived in this vicinity his entire life and delighted in taking an active part in all of its activities. For the past three years he has not been in good health, but regardless of this fact he kept up as well as he could his activities. He was a man of pleasant disposition and was a good husband, father and neighbor.

He had devoted his life to farming and was successful in the operation of same.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational church on Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Oliver M. Adams officiating and burial was made in the Onawa cemetery. Following is the obituary as read at the services.

Albert Abraham Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Larson, was born at Whiting, Iowa, on November 28, 1890, and died at his home east of Onawa on December 10, 1939 at the age of 49 years and 12 days, after an illness of over three years.

On February 23, 1914, he was united in marriage to Gladys Skevington, who survives him.

Albert Larson has been considered one of the outstanding farmers of this community, where he has turned for the past thirty years. He was a honest, energetic, upright man, and was very much interested in community activities and was loved and respected by his neighbors and acquaintances. He will be very much missed by the entire community.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one sister and one brother. He leaves to mourn his departure his beloved wife: his son Wilbur, of Onawa: his daughter, Mrs. Vernon Jones, of Newell, Iowa: two sisters, Mrs. Lena Brown of Onawa, and Mrs. Ray Eller of Castana, Iowa: one brother, Charles of Turin, and a host of friends.
