Glyn Myers of Castana Laid To Rest Monday

Gyln Myers was born at Coffax, Illinois on August 24, 1884 and passed from this life in the Onawa Hospital on December 15, 1960. Death came at the age of 76 years 3months and 21 days.

On August 5, 1908 he was united in marriage with Emma Mae Neff at Pierre, South Dakota. They made their home at Mission Ridge, South Dakota for 40 years and then moved to the Castana community about 4 years ago. Mr Myers spent his lifetime in farming.

He was a member of the May Flower Descendants Assn.

Survivors are his wife Emma of Castana, 2 sons: Kendrick Myers of Mission Ridge, South Dakota and WIlliam H Myers of Ridge View South Dakota: also a daughter: Mrs Adeline Rader of Kallamazoo MIchigan. There are 9 grandchildren, 3 brothers, Mark Myers of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Earl Myers of Hot Springs, South Dakota and AB Myers of Sioux City, Iowa, also a sister, Mrs Myrtle Jones of Sioux Falls, South Dakota along with a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday December 9th at the community church at Castana, Rev Ralph C Pueschel and Rev Everett Epperson conducted the service. Evan Davies sang "Saved by Grace" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied at the organ by Mrs Hanson Davies. The casket bearers were Raymond Letterly, Andrew Brunning, Arthur Mountain, Fred Anderson, Leslie Dobrovolny and Fred Lawson. Interment was in the Kennebec Cemetery at Castana with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home.
