Services Held For Mrs Rose Crossley

Funeral services for Mrs Rose M Crossley, 65, a lifelong resident of Whiting, who passed away at the Onawa Hospital, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 19, 1960 at the Christian Church at Whiting. Rev Stanley Jones officiating and burial was in the Whiting Cemetery, under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Whiting.

Mrs Crossley was born March 17 1895 at Whiting. She was married to Sidney Crossley on January 30, 1912. She was a member of the Christian Church and for many years worked for the Whiting School lunch program. Mr Crossley died in 1953.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Edith Bearce of Whiting and Mrs Dorothy Boyles of Sioux City: two sons Floyd of Whiting and Leonard of Council Bluffs: six brothers, Thurman A Dahl of Okoboji, Iowa, Charles Dahl of Whiting, Chris and Carl Dahl, both of Sloan, Gail Dahl and Donald Dahl both of Sioux City, 3 sisiters, Mrs Della Johnson, Mrs Pearl Coil and Mrs Mary Dunn all of Sloan and 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
