Mrs. Rueben Leach Buried In Mapleton Last Sunday

Mrs. Jane Ball-Leach, widow of Reuben Leach, died at the home of her son, Floyd, in Castana the 6th day of September. She had been ill for some time but the death was sudden. The funeral services were held at the Castana Church of Christ Sunday morning, Minister Coleson in charge, and the body was interred in Mt Hope cemetery, Mapleton, beside her husband.
The deceased was 58 years, 5 months and 28 days old. She had spent the greater portion of her life in eastern Monona County. Five children surive and two preceeded her. The living are: David, of Walthill, Nebr, Mrs. Della Lewis, of Tyndall, S.D.: Mrs. Will Steele, who lives east of Castana, and Floyd and Elsie of Castana. Of the six brothers and sisters, Mrs. L.E. Burch, of Battle Creek, Nebr.: Mrs. Geo Leach and Mrs. Wm Leach, of Smithland: and Wm Ball of Soldier, were present at the funeral service; one sister, Mrs. Rachael McCleery of Mapleton, was at the cemetery, and the other brother, Elisha Ball, lives in Colorado.
