Bessie Tostenson

Miss Bessie Tostenson, a lifelong resident of Onawa, died Saturday, January 1st at the age of 72 years. Miss Tostenson was born April 18, 1882 at Onawa, the daughter of John and Mary Tostenson. She had been in falling health for several years and in recent months seriously ill.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran church at Onawa and had been a faithful member of that church, taking an active part in the affairs of the church and Ladies Aid until illness forced her retirement from the activities.

Survivors include one sisters, Miss Olive Tostenson and one brother, Julius Tostenson, both of Omaha, Nebr. A number of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Robert Fitzgerald conducting the services. Miss Marie Lundberg gave comfort in song accompanied by Miss Johnson.
