Nelson, Mrs. Donald ~ 1979

A memorial service for Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Nelson, 40, Pelotas, Brazil, was held in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Minn. on Saturday, January 27, 1979 at 11 a.m. Mrs. Nelson died Sunday, January 21 at Pelotas following a lengthy illness.

Ruth Marian Langeno(sic), the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Langemo, was born February 18, 1938 at Wadena, Minn. She was a graduate of Mahnomen High School and in 1960 she graduated from Concordia College. She taught music at the Mora Public School. She was married to Rev. Nelson (son of Oscar Nelson, Mahnomen) in June 1963 at Glyndon, Minn. They served a parish at Neola, Iowa and moved to Brazil in 1968, serving in the missionary field.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Rev. Donald Nelson, and five children, Kari, Eric, Lia, Daniel, and Andrea; her mother, Mrs. Marie Langemo, Moorhead; two brothers, Cmdr. James Langemo, Springfield, Va., and Joe Langemo, Litchfield, Minn., and her twin sister, Mrs. Lowell (Joan) Hanson, Missoula, Mont.

Funeral services and burial for Mrs. Nelson were held Monday, January 22, at Pelota.
