Sisters Wed in Double Ceremony

A pretty double wedding was solemnized Monday morning (24 Feb 1941) at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church at Danbury when Miss Louise Zurn of Sioux City became the bride of Dale Gaswindt of Hinton IA and Miss Betty Zurn of Danbury became the bride of Emil Schleimer of Mapleton.
Rev. A.J. Arndorfer, pastor of the church, officated before a large group of friends and relatives.
The brides are daughters of Louis Zurn of Danbury. Mr. Gaswindt is a son of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Hay of Hinton and Mr. Schleimer is a son of Theodore Schleimer of Mapleton.
They were attended by their sisters, Miss Leone Zurn of Danbury and Miss Margie Zurn of Mapleton.
The men were attended by Phillip Meier of Sioux City, an uncle of the brides and Sylvester Schleimer of Mapleton, brother of Emil Schleimer.
A wedding breakfast for the bridal party was served at 10:30 o'clock in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Everett Chedester in Mapleton. Mrs. Chedester is a sister of the brides. A wedding dinner for 75 friends and relatives was served at 1 o'clock in St. Mary's hall at Danbury.
Mr. & Mrs. Schleimer entertained at a wedding dance in the evening in the American Legion and auxilliary hall in Mapleton. Mr. & Mrs. Gaswindt will entertain at a wedding dance at Hinton after Easter.
Mr. & Mrs. Schleimer will make their home north of Danbury and Mr. & Mrs. Gaswindt will make their home at Hinton.
