Mapleton Couple Observes "Golden Wedding" Monday

Mr. & Mrs. Frank Reitz Sr., Mapleton residents, observed their "Golden Wedding" anniversary here Monday 24 Feb 1941. They entertained 40 friends and relatives at a dance in the Parish hall in the evening.
Mr. & Mrs. Reitz were married in Grant township church in Ida county. They have resided in this community 32 years, moving two weeks ago to a home in Mapleton from a farm near Ute. Mr. Reitz retired from active farming five years ago.
Mr. Reitz and his wife, the former Miss Anna Putzier, were both born in Davenport IA. They are both enjoying good health.
They have six children, Robert J. Reitz of Battle Creek, Mrs. Edward Kuehl of Charter Oak, F.A. Reitz of Danbury, Edward Reitz of Ida Grove, Albert Reitz of Mapleton and Mrs. Charles Ramm of Mapleton, who is an adopted daughter. They also have 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The Press joins the many friends of Mr. & Mrs. Reitz in extending best wishes and sincerely hopes they will enjoy many more happy anniversaries together.
