Maxine McGarr and Wilmer Kirkpatrick Married Here Monday

Miss Maxine McGarr of Mapleton, daughter of Mrs. Nelson Muckey of Mapleton and Charles McGarr of Hornick, became the bride of Wilmer Kirkpatrick of Danbury, son of Mr.& Mrs. Craft Kirkpatrick of Danbury, Monday morning (10 Feb 1941) at 8:15 o'clock in St. Mary's Catholic church in Mapleton.

Rev. A.H. Ocken, pastor of the church, read the ceremony in the presence of friends and relatives of the bridal couple.

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Mary Grace McGarr of Mapleton. The groom was attended by Marcellus Walterman of Danbury.

A wedding dinner was served in the home of the bride's mother. Mrs. Ed Hamann prepared the dinner and it was served by Miss Ethel Walterman of Danbury and Miss Beverly Seitzinger of Mapleton.

Dinner guests included Rev. Ocken of Mapleton, Mr.Mrs. Kirkpatrick, Mr.Mrs. J.E. Scott and Mr.Mrs. Roy Barry of Danbury, Mr.Mrs. Elmer Wesslin of Spencer IA and Miss Perry Wesslin of Sioux City.

A buffet wedding supper was served in the evening in the home of Mr.Mrs. Kirkpatrick of Danbury of immediate friends and relatives. Later the young couple entertained their friends at a wedding dance at Danbury.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick will continue for a time to work here in Porter's cafe. Later Mr.Mrs. Kirkpatrick will make their home at Danbury where he is associated with his father in farming.

The Press joins the many friends of Mr. & Mrs. Kirkpatrick in extending best wishes for a long and happy married life.
